Sprint today kicked off a new promotion that’ll get you a free year of Amazon Prime with the purchase of a qualifying Samsung device. To take advantage of the promo, you’ll need to pick up a Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, or Note 5 through Sprint Lease, Sprint Easy Pay, a 2-year contract, or at full retail price.
Sprint’s Amazon Prime promo is open to new customers as well as existing customers that are adding a new line to their account. It’ll run through November 30. It’s also worth mentioning that it sounds like Sprint is just giving you a promo code for Amazon Prime, so existing Prime subscribers should be able to extend their subscription with this deal.
One year of Amazon Prime normally costs $99 and includes free 2-day shipping, Amazon Prime Video and Prime Music streaming, and unlimited photo storage with Prime Photos. You get a lot stuff with an Amazon Prime subscription, and while you’ll have to weigh if a free Amazon Prime sub is enough to switch carriers or add a new line, this is one of the better carrier promos that we’ve seen in recent memory.
In addition to this Amazon Prime deal, Sprint is offering discounts on Galaxy S6 and Note 5 leases. New and existing Sprint customers that trade in a qualifying smartphone through November 25 can get a 32GB Galaxy S6 for $10 per month (24 months) or a 32GB Galaxy Note 5 for $17 per month (24 months). The list of qualifying smartphones looks like this:
iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, Samsung Galaxy S5 mini, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, HTC One M8, HTC One M9, LG G3, LG G4
