Samsung officially introduced its ginormous Galaxy View tablet late last month, and now you can officially make the View and its 18.4-inch tablet yours.
The Samsung Galaxy View is now available at a price of $599.99 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model. You can snag the Galaxy View from a number of retailers, including Adorama, Amazon, B&H, Best Buy, and Samsung itself. Some of the retailers are still listing the Galaxy View as a pre-order, including Samsung itself, but Best Buy is shipping units in 1 business day and even has some physical stores with stock.
As a refresher, the Galaxy View is Samsung’s mega tablet that features an 18.4-inch 1920x1080 display. Samsung touts the Galaxy View as being great for entertainment, and the company has included a “video-centric interface” as well as stereo speakers and a stand to prop the device up. Because the Galaxy View is so large, Samsung has included a handle on the back of the unit as well, which ought to help you carry it when you want to move it around the house or, if you’re feeling brave, when you’re out and about.
Also included with the Galaxy View is a 2.1-megapixel front camera, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot, and Android 5.1 Lollipop. Powering the massive tablet is 2GB of RAM, a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 processor, and a 5700mAh battery.
With its 18.4-inch display, the Galaxy View isn’t quite as portable as other, smaller tablets. That said, if you’re looking for a tablet with a big screen that can be a good fit for entertainment and productivity, the Galaxy View is one option.
