Last year, Samsung introduced its new Galaxy A3 and A5 smartphones, which were notable because they offered premium designs with full metal bodies. The year 2015 turned out to be all about premium designs thanks to the new-look Galaxy S6 and Note 5, and now Samsung is continuing that trend with new Galaxy A models.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016), and Galaxy A3 (2016) are all now official. The new handsets are part of Samsung’s continued effort to make its phones more premium, with all three offering glass and metal bodies.

Samsung says that the new Galaxy A (2016) phones will launch in China in the middle of December 2015, with rollouts in other global markets to follow. However, no pricing information has been given.

The Galaxy A (2016) phones look to build upon the premium models introduced last year with higher-res displays and faster internals. The Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 also expand the number of phones that support Samsung Pay, which is important because the service is still young and is only supported by a handful of phones.
