As we inch closer to March 1 and the HTC One (M9)’s expected debut, alleged details on HTC’s next Android flagship continue to trickle out.

A new report from HTC Source claims to have information on the design of the One (M9)’s face. A source has reportedly told the site that the HTC logo-clad black bar that was present on the One (M7) and One (M8) won’t appear on the One (M9). The new flagship may feature taller plastic speaker panels to cover the BoomSound speaker parts to make up for the old black bar, and the HTC logo will reportedly be moved to the bottom speaker panel.

Moving on to the speakers themselves, it’s said that the front of the One (M9) will resemble the Nexus 9 tablet. The One (M9)’s front-facing BoomSound speakers will allegedly be mostly covered by the front panel of the phone, with small cutouts for the speaker grilles that cover 50 percent of the One (M9)’s top and bottom edges.

Another recent rumor that claimed to shed more light on the HTC One (M9)’s design said that the device will have an edge-to-edge glass panel, BoomSound speaker slits, and a centered front-facing camera. If all of these rumors about an updated design and beefier rear camera hold true, the One (M9) could be in the running for Android phone of the year. Good thing we’ve only got about a month to wait before all is finally revealed.
