Looks like the HTC ThunderBolt isn't the only aging Android handset on Verizon that's getting an update this week. Verizon recent revealed an update for the original HTC DROID Incredible that includes a tweak that will reduce device reboots. The update is build number 4.08.605.19 710RD and comes in at a tiny 4.2MB in size.
Verizon hasn't officially announced when this update's rollout should begin, but folks that are still sticking by their DROID Incredible are reporting that the update has begun rolling out, Android Central says. To check for the new update manually, DInc users can grab their device and head into Menu > Settings > About phone > System updates.
As I noted last night when talking about the LG Viper 4G LTE's update, it's always good to see some new software being pushed out to a device. That's especially the case when it's for a phone as old as the DROID Incredible, though, which was originally released in April 2010. If you're still rockin' a DROID Incredible to this day and are also still running the stock firmware, be sure to fire up ye olde Software update functionality and get to downloading this reboot-reducing fix!
