Heads up, LG Viper 4G LTE owners, because you've got a small maintenance update headed your way. Sprint revealed today that a new update has been released for the Viper that includes "minor updates" and improvements to its LTE acquisition, the latter of which ought to help your handset latch onto an LTE signal. The update will bring the Viper up to software version LS840ZVK.
Sprint says that the LG Viper 4G LTE's update will begin rolling out over the air today, so if any of you have a Viper that calls your pocket home, you may want to pull that thing out and head on into Settings > System Update > Update Firmware to see if this new software is waiting for you. Don't fret if there's nothing there, as updates are often released in waves, with most units expected to get the update within 10-15 days of its release.
While this new LG Viper update may seem fairly minor, any update that makes a phone work better is always good to see. That's especially the case when the new software improves the device's ability to grab onto a signal like LS840ZVK does for the Viper. Are any of you using an LG Viper 4G LTE on Sprint? If so, go get your update on!
