If you're in the market for a new Android-powered Cricket smartphone, it looks like you may soon have another option to consider. The device you see above is said to be the Huawei M660, which features a form factor that we don't see all that often: the portrait-oriented physical keyboard. Besides that hardware QWERTY, the M660 is said to feature a 3.2-inch touchscreen, rear-facing camera, microSD card slot and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
As you can see on the rear of the M660, the phone is headed for Cricket, a detail that's seemingly supported by a Huawei download page for the device's user guide that mentions Cricket. A quick peek at the user guide itself also shows that the M660 may be known as the "Ascend Q" once it officially launches. Exactly when that'll happen isn't yet known, but at least QWERTY enthusiasts on Cricket now have a new Android handset to look forward to. What do you all think of the portrait physical keyboard? Would you like to see more phones come to market with that form factor?
