The HTC DROID Incredible 2 may not be the newest member of the Incredible family any longer, but owners of the second DInc do have some good news to help them celebrate this weekend. Verizon has revealed that a new maintenance update will soon be headed to the Incredible 2, bringing with it a fix for unsuccessful image downloads from social networks and enabling the device to work with the Wireless Alerting System. The update is software version 6.01.605.05 710RD and weighs in at 32.883MB in size.
Obviously this isn't a huge update for the Incredible 2, but it's still good to see the device getting a maintenance update to squash this particular bug. Incredible 2 owners also still have an Android 4.0 update to look forward to, which HTC says should be here before the end of August. So while the successor to the DInc 2 may be hitting shelves soon, owners of this device still have some goodies to look forward to. How many of you are currently rocking a DROID Incredible 2?
