One month after AT&T announced that its 5G network was available nationwide, prepaid provider Cricket Wireless is getting access to that coverage.
Cricket customers now have access to nationwide 5G. The first device on Cricket's roster than can access 5G is the Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, which is now available for $1,199.99.
5G access is included with Cricket's $60 unlimited plan, which gets you unlimited high-speed data, 15GB of mobile hotspot usage, SD 480p video streaming, and unlimited talk and text. Cricket also offers three Simply Data plans that include 5G and are data-only: 20GB/$35 per month, 40GB/$50, and 100GB/$90.
In other Cricket news, the prepaid operator now offers support for Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay in all its branded retail locations and in the myCricket app.
Finally, Cricket is offering its customers a free 30-day trial of HBO Max. Just log in to your account, lick on the HBO Max link to create an account, and start watching. HBO Max will auto-renew after 30 days at the rate of $14.99 per month unless you cancel through HBO Max.
