Along with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Verizon is pushing software updates to a handful of other devices today.
First up, the LG G3 and LG G4 are both receiving updates to speed up the display response time from sleep. If having faster wake-from-sleep isn’t enough to get you G3 and G4 owners excited about these updates, they also include the latest Android security patches. LG G3 and G4 owners can check for their updates by going into Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Check for Update.
Next up is the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The single-edged Samsung device is receiving an update that includes the latest Android security patch, so you Note Edge owners are going to want to grab it to keep your phones secure. You can check for your update the same way as your LG G3 and G4-toting brethren.
Finally, we’re moving to a device that you wear on your wrist. The Samsung Gear S2 is receiving an update that fixes a random clock freeze issue and also enables you to use your Gear S2 with Android phones running 6.0 Marshmallow. Gear S2 owners, you can manually update your device through the Samsung Gear app on your smartphone.
Happy updating, Verizon subscribers!
