Days after HTC posted another official teaser for the HTC 10, the rumor mill has responded with an unofficial leak.
Several photos that claim to show the black and silver shells of the HTC 10 have made their way online. Originally posted to Taobao, a Chinese shopping site, the images show the rear shell of the HTC 10 from just about every angle. We can see the devices rear camera with round housing, camera flash, slots on the sides that are likely for the SIM and microSD cards, and a headphone jack up top. The bottom of the device has a set of five holes on the bottom of the unit that may be the speaker and what looks to be a USB Type-C port.
According to a previous leak, the black rear shell will be available with a black front, while the silver rear shell will be available with white and black fronts. There’s also expected to be an HTC 10 with a gold rear shell and white front.
While the HTC 10 won’t be official until HTC makes it so, which is expected to happen on April 12, the design that we’ve seen in various leaks looks nice. It’s got a metal body that HTC has used in past flagships and a polished chamfered edge to give a more premium feel. What we’ll have to wait to see is if that premium feel paired with specs like a 5.1-inch 2560x1440 display and Snapdragon 820 is enough to make the HTC 10 a hit. Until then, you can find more photos of the leaked HTC 10 shells at the Nowhereelse.fr link below.
