Apple today released its second iOS 12 beta update this week.
iOS 12 beta 8 is now available for developers. It can be downloaded over the air by going into Settings > General > Software update on your iOS device, or by pointing your web browser at Apple's Developer Center.
Apple released iOS 12 beta 7 a couple of days ago, but pulled the update shortly after it rolled out after some users ran into lengthy delays when launching an app. That's likely why we're seeing iOS 12 beta 8 so shortly after iOS 12 beta 7 was released.
There's no iOS 12 beta 8 update for the public testers in Apple's Beta Software Program, but that update will likely come in the next couple of days, barring any significant issues like the one that plagued iOS 12 beta 7.
The update to iOS 12 will be released to the public this fall. It'll include new features like new Animoji, the ability to create your own Animoji with Memoji, improved Do Not Disturb features, and grouped notifications. The update will also bring Siri Shortcuts, which will let you create shortcuts to features in third-party apps using Siri. For example, you can create a Siri Shortcut for getting directions to your work or launching a music playlist.
