Interested in giving T-Mobile a try after today's Team of Experts and music announcements? If so, T-Mo's got a new offer that you may want to consider.
T-Mobile is now letting non-customers try its network free for 30 days. You just register on T-Mo's website and once it confirms that you're eligible, it'll send you a free hotspot that you can connect your existing phone to and try out its network. You can then test T-Mobile out for 30 days or 30GB, whichever comes first.
Once you've completed your trial, you've got two options. You can either return your hotspot to a local T-Mobile store or give it to a friend who can then register for a trial of their own. If they do, T-Mobile will send them a new SIM card and then they can test out the network for 30 days or 30GB.
This offer is currently only available in three markets: Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; and Austin, TX. Existing T-Mobile for Business, MetroPCS, or customers of T-Mobile partners using the T-Mo network are not eligible for this offer. After you've participated in the trial, you have to wait 6 months before you're eligible to take part again.
This isn't the first time that T-Mobile has offered a trial of its network. Back in 2014, T-Mo's Un-carrier 5.0 move was a Test Drive program that allowed anyone to try out its network on an iPhone 5s for a full week. This new trial is improved over the old Test Drive in a few ways, like the fact that it runs for 30 days and that you can use your own phone and your own apps since you're getting a hotspot. The downside is that this current trial offer is only available in three markets, so hopefully T-Mo will expand it soon.
If T-Mobile offered this trial in your city, would you take advantage of it?
