The Snapdragon 821 is Qualcomm’s new flagship processor, and it’s powering high-end devices like the Google Pixel and LeEco Le Pro3. Now it looks like we’ll soon be adding a OnePlus product to that list.
Qualcomm today teased that OnePlus has a new device coming soon that includes a Snapdragon 821 processor. No other details of the mystery product have been revealed, and OnePlus hasn’t said anything about when the device will be fully revealed.

So what might OnePlus be cooking up? It’s only been five months since the launch of the OnePlus 3, so it seems unlikely that an entirely new OnePlus flagship is coming. It’s possible that OnePlus is prepping a souped-up version of the OnePlus 3, though, especially since well-known leaker Evan Blass recently hinted at a device called the “OnePlus 3T.”
The OnePlus 3 is no slouch, packing 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 820 processor, all for $399. An updated OP3 with a Snapdragon 821 would be a bit more future-proofed, though, giving the mysterious device the ability to be used with Google’s Daydream virtual reality platform.
