If you want to add more local storage to your iPhone, you’re out of luck because Apple doesn’t include microSD cards with its smartphones. With a new SanDisk case, though, the iPhone’s lack of a microSD slot is no longer a problem.
The SanDisk iXpand Memory Case is a protective case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s that adds more storage to the device. With it, you can add 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of additional space to your iPhone. The case is available in blue, gray, red, and teal color options.
In order to access the content you’ve got stored on your iXpand Memory Case, you’ll need to install the SanDisk iXpand Memory Case app. With it, you can access and view all of your saved content, automatically back up your camera roll, and password-protect all of your files.
Also of note is that while the iXpand Memory Case itself doesn’t have a battery, you can get a battery pack that attaches to the back of the case and adds an extra 1900mAh of battery power to your iPhone. Plus, the iXpand Memory Case App will let you view the battery levels of both your case and your phone.
So how much does it cost to add more storage to your iPhone? The iXpand Memory Case is available from Amazon and starts at $59.99 for the 32GB model. If you need more storage, you can get the 64GB case for $99.99 or the 128GB model for $129.99. The battery add-on is an extra $39.99.
