Snapchat filters are big, letting users alter their face with things like dog ears and makeup or even letting them swap faces with another person. According to a new report, Snapchat has acquired a service that offers another way to have fun with your face.

Snapchat is purportedly going to acquire Bitstrips, maker of Bitmoji, which are cartoon emojis that you can make yourself and share with others. The deal is said to be worth around $100 million, says Fortune, but neither Snapchat nor Bitstrips have confirmed the deal.

Bitstrips let users create emojis of themselves and place them with phrases and accessories, giving them a more personal way to send emoji to their friends. Exactly what Snapchat will do with Bitstrips remains to be seen, but perhaps Snapchat could use Bitstrips’ emoji creation tools to add more filter options to their service. Snapchat already offers playful ways for you to alter your snaps, and adding personal emoji and accessories would give Snapchat users even more ways tweak your photos.
