Looks like the DROID Turbo 2 isn’t the only device slated to get an Android 6.0 update today.
Huawei says that the Huawei Watch will begin receiving its Android 6.0 update today, March 1. The update is build MEC23L and will add features like new gestures, including shaking to return to the watch face, and support for sending messages from apps like Hangouts and Telegram using your voice. And because the Huawei Watch includes a speaker, owners will be gaining support for starting and accepting calls over Bluetooth and listening to audio and video messages.
Android 6.0 is a notable update for watches just like it is for phones. The added gestures give you more ways to navigate through Android Wear without having to use your other hand, and the Huawei Watch gets phone calling capabilities because Huawei decided to equip its watch it a speaker. If you’ve got a Huawei Watch strapped to your wrist, you’re going to want to keep an eye out for this update.
To check for an Android Wear update manually, you can go into Settings > About > System updates.
