The Huawei Watch originally made its debut in early March, but at the time, Huawei said that pricing and launch info would come sometime in the future. Fast-forward nearly six months and those details are finally here.
Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the Huawei Watch, which it says will be released on September 2. There are six different Huawei Watch models to choose from:
Those prices put the Huawei Watch at the upper-end of the Android Wear platform, especially if you opt for one of the gold models. The Huawei Watch features a 1.4-inch round 400x400 AMOLED display covered in sapphire glass, a Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a 300mAh battery, and a handful of sensors that include a gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, and a PPG for heart rate monitoring.
Strangely, the Amazon page for the Huawei Watch claims that the device works with iOS 8.2 and up in addition to Android 4.3 or later. iOS isn’t officially supported by Android Wear, and Google hasn’t made any announcements about that feature coming, though the rumor mill has suggested that iOS support on Android Wear could be in the works.
