Days after offering a brief glimpse at its new Gear S2 smartwatch, Samsung today posted a teaser video for its upcoming round smartwatch.
A new Samsung Gear S2 video posted to YouTube shows different parts of the device’s UI, including its app menu, weather, heart rate monitor, and its clock. The clip wraps by promising that the Gear S2 is “coming soon” and dropping a “Berlin 09.03.2015,” suggesting that Samsung will have more to say about the Gear S2 at IFA on September 3.
Samsung hasn’t revealed much in the way of spec details for the Gear S2, but past rumors have suggested that it’ll have a Super AMOLED display, dual-core Exynos 3472 processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a 250mAh battery. It’s also expected that the device will run Tizen, not Android Wear, so you folks looking for a new Android-based smartwatch may have to look elsewhere.
We’re less than a month away from IFA, so it won’t be long before all of the Gear S2’s details — including its launch date and price — are revealed, so stay tuned.
