Following the debut of Android One devices in India a few months ago, Google today revealed that its low-cost smartphones will soon arrive in a few more countries.
Android One smartphones will launch in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka “in the coming weeks,” with devices from Micromax, Karbonn, and Spice all making the trek to those countries. Google says that Bangladesh company Symphony will launch its first Android One device as well, known as the Symphony Roar A50.
Android One is Google’s effort to make low-cost but still well-made smartphones in emerging markets. The devices run clean versions of Android and get updates from Google, meaning that they needn’t worry about software slowing their phone down
