AT&T may be planning to merge Aio Wireless with Cricket Wireless to form a new Cricket, but until that officially happens, the big blue carrier will continue to push its prepaid Aio brand.

Today Aio Wireless announced a new “Group Save” plan that allows customers to have multiple lines on a single account and save some cash while doing so. The Group Save program works by increasing the amount of the monthly discount with each line added to an account. For example, a two-line account will pay full price for the first line, but the second line will save $10 off of its monthly rate. The third line of an account will save $20 per month while the fourth and fifth lines will receive a discount of $30 per month.

Aio says that its Group Save plan is available to both new and existing customers. Any Aio plans that are $40 or higher are eligible for a Group Save discount, and customers are able to mix and match plans on their account to receive the savings.

Aio’s new Group Save plan is somewhat reminiscent of Sprint’s Framily plan in that the savings that it offers can increase by adding more lines to an account. It’s a nice opportunity to get some of your Aio-using friends together and save some cash, and the best part is that existing Aio customers in good standing with two eligible lines of service will automatically be enrolled in Group Save.
