Following leaks from earlier this month that revealed new versions of Google’s Gmail and Calendar apps for Android, another app redesign has leaked out. This time we’re looking at a refreshed version of the Google+ app.
Shared by Google+ user Yoel Kaseb, the new Google+ app features a colored action bar like the ones that appeared in the previous app leaks, except that this time the bar is red to match Google+ itself. The updated app also appears to have traded in its bottom-mounted post bar for a small red circle in the lower right corner. Finally, writing a new post brings up a floating box on top of a red overlay rather than kicking the user to an entirely different screen.
Just as with the aforementioned Gmail and Calendar app leaks, it’s not known which of these changes will actually make it into a final shipping version. Heck, there’s no guarantee that these images are even legit. They do share some elements with the other leaked apps, though, and given Google’s apparent effort to make over some of its other apps, I wouldn’t be surprised if Google+ ends up getting a makeover as well.
What do you think of this refreshed Google+ app? Would you be happy if it ends up going live in the Play Store?
