In week 84 on PhoneDog’s Official Smartphone Rankings, the HTC One returned to the top of both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts. A favorite in the Android space, HTC’s flagship smartphone faces increased competition from the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which has steadily climbed up the charts since its retail debut. In a high-end smartphone battle between the One and Note 3, which will win?
MT PLEASANT, SC – October 16, 2013 – For 84 weeks, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has been the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. Last week, the HTC One returned to the first place position on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, reclaiming its first place positions with 428 votes and 33 expert points. HTC’s One has received a critical acclaim for specifications and build quality, and is part of the One family encompassing the HTC One mini and HTC One max.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 continued its rise, landing in second place on the People’s Choice chart with 339 votes, while third place was awarded to the LG G2 with 93 votes. The Apple iPhone 5s dropped to fourth place on the People’s Choice chart with 69 votes, while the Samsung Galaxy S 4 fell to fifth place with 44 votes. On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rose to second place with 30 points, while the Apple iPhone 5s dropped to the third place position with 29 points. In fourth place, the Samsung Galaxy S 4, obtaining 19 points. Rounding out the list in fifth place, the LG G2 with 14 points. A new high-end smartphone from LG, the G2 offers a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 13-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization, and is available on multiple U.S. carriers.
