Samsung's pocket-stretching Galaxy Mega recently made its way onto AT&T and U.S. Cellular and is expected to rumble onto Sprint's shelves in the near future. It appears that the Galaxy Mega's tour of U.S. carriers isn't stopping there, though, as the device and its 6.3-inch display now appears to have set its sights on a prepaid operator.
Our pals at TmoNews have shared an image of a Samsung Galaxy Mega with a MetroPCS startup screen, suggesting that the T-Mobile-owned provider will soon add the Mega to its lineup. Details on the device's launch are scant, but it's expected that the MetroPCS Galaxy Mega will be available sometime before the holidays.
The Galaxy Mega is one of the largest smartphones available on the market thanks to its 6.3-inch 1280x720 Super Clear LCD screen. Its spec sheet also includes a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing shooter. All of that adds up to make an Android 4.2 device that will be a nice addition to MetroPCS's lineup, especially since the largest phone that the carrier currently offers is the Galaxy S 4, which packs a comparatively tiny 5-inch display.
