In week 75 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the HTC One held its first place positions on the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts. With a metal exterior build, availability on multiple carriers, and a new advertising campaign featuring Robert Downey Jr., HTC and their flagship One are ready for the upcoming holiday shopping season. Can it compete with the Moto X, LG G2, and other high-end smartphones that are launching soon?
MT PLEASANT, SC – August 11, 2013 – For 75 weeks, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has been the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. For week 75, the HTC One remained in first place on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, obtaining a total of 343 votes and 53 points. With a red version rolling out in select markets and a rumored blue variant in the works, HTC’s smartphone continues to perform well.
The Samsung Galaxy S 4 held the second place spot on the People’s Choice chart with 74 votes, and dropped to the third place position on the Expert’s Choice rankings with 35 points. The Samsung Galaxy Note II jumped to third place on the People’s Choice chart with 65 votes, while the Apple iPhone 5 fell to fourth place with 63 votes. Landing in fifth place on the People’s Choice chart was the Nokia Lumia 1020, garnering a total of 52 votes. On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 returned to second place with 40 points, while the Nokia Lumia 1020 held its fourth place spot with 22 points. In fifth place, the Samsung Galaxy Note II with 14 points.
