In week 74 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the HTC One held its first place positions on the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts. For months, HTC’s flagship has dominated the top spots, proving that HTC’s One brand has significant mindshare. As the Moto X, LG G2, and other smartphones prepare for retail launch, will the One remain number one?
MT PLEASANT, SC – August 4, 2013 – For 74 weeks, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has been the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. Yet again, the HTC One remained in first place on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, obtaining a total of 296 votes and 51 points. With a red variant available in various markets and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean rolling out globally, HTC’s flagship smartphone continues to excel.
The Samsung Galaxy S 4 held the second place spot on the People’s Choice chart with 92 votes, and returned to the second place spot on the Expert’s Choice rankings with 40 points. The Apple iPhone 5 remained in third place on the People’s Choice chart with 83 votes, while the Galaxy Note II dropped to fourth place with 68 votes. Holding the fifth place spot on the People’s Choice chart, the Google Nexus 4 with 43 votes. On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 fell to third place with 38 points, while the Nokia Lumia 1020 held its fourth place spot with 17 points. In fifth place, the Samsung Galaxy Note II with 14 points.
