In week 76 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the HTC One continued its record-breaking first place streak on the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts. Powered by a new “Here’s To Change” advertising campaign featuring Robert Downey Jr., HTC and the One brand are in the spotlight. With the upcoming launch of the LG G2, Moto X, and Motorola’s Droid trio of smartphones, can the HTC One continue the first place winning streak?
MT PLEASANT, SC – August 18, 2013 – For 76 weeks, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has been the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. For yet another week, the HTC One remained in first place on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, obtaining a total of 251 reader votes and 52 expert points. With availability on Verizon Wireless pegged for August 22 and an international advertising campaign featuring Robert Downey Jr., HTC appears to be ready for the holiday shopping season.
The Samsung Galaxy S 4 remained in second place on the People’s Choice chart with 71 votes, and held its third place position on the Expert’s Choice rankings with 38 points. The Samsung Galaxy Note II jumped to third place on the People’s Choice chart with 70 votes, while the Nokia Lumia 1020 climbed to fourth place with 48 votes. Falling to fifth place on the People’s Choice chart was the Apple iPhone 5, garnering a total of 43 votes. On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 remained in second place with 40 points, while the Samsung Galaxy Note II returned to fourth place with 17 points. In fifth place, the Nokia Lumia 1020 with 13 points.
