LG may have just taken the wraps off of the G2 (and spent the weeks leading up to it doing quite a bit of teasing), but according to a new report, the company's got another high-end phone right around the corner. Korean publication Asia Economic claims that LG is currently prepping a new entry in its Optimus Vu Vu product line that could debut as soon as IFA in September.

The publication claims that the device will be known as the LG Vu III and that, just like its predecessors, it'll sport a display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. That display will reportedly measure 5.2 inches in size and feature a resolution of 1280x960. Also said to be included with LG's new Vu is a 13-megapixel rear camera, Snapdragon 800 processor and support for LTE-Advanced, all of which also happen to be headline features of LG's G2.

LG's Vu smartphones have been known for utilizing a 4:3 aspect ratio for their displays, which isn't something you see terribly often in the mobile world. Those squarish screens can be a pretty polarizing feature for users, but the good news for fans of the Vu devices is that if today's rumor holds true, the Vu III will feature a display that's both larger and higher-res than previous models. Combine that with a 13-megapixel shooter and Snapdragon 800 core, and the Vu III could be a pretty interesting option for fans of big-screened smartphones.
