How does starting your morning with a nice, photo-filled leak of an unannounced smartphone sound? The folks at Mobile-Review have posted a gigantic preview report on the Sony LT30p, an Android handset that's know by the codename "Mint." The Mint itself looks like a big, black slab with a bit of a slope at the bottom of its face. There's also some Sony and Xperia branding on the Mint's face and another Xperia logo on its rear.
As far as actual specs go, we're told to expect a 4.3-inch 1280x720 display (though previous leaks have claimed that the display may be 4.6 inches in size), complete with on-screen navigation keys. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD slot, NFC and a non-removable battery. The Android 4.0-powered Mint is also said to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and another shooter around front.
That's a fairly comprehensive spec rundown, but one detail that we're still missing is exactly when the Mint will be ripe for retail picking. The good news is that Sony has scheduled an event on August 29, right before IFA kicks off in Berlin, so it's possible that an official announcement may only be around a month out. With a 720p display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 13-megapixel shooter, the Mint may be worth keeping an eye on.
