ASUS originally introduced us to both the Transformer Pad Infinity and Transformer Pad 300 back at MWC in February, and the Transformer Pad 300 hit shelves in April. Now it's almost time for the Transformer Pad Infinity to do the same. ASUS has revealed that the Transformer Pad Infinity is expected to debut in the U.S. during the week of July 16, with pricing set at $499 for the 32GB model and $599 for the more capacious 64GB model. There will also be a keyboard dock available for $149, though it's also worth noting that the Transformer Pad Infinity is compatible with the Transformer Prime's keyboard dock, just in case you've got the Prime and are thinking about upgrading.
So how about a spec refresher? The Transformer Pad Infinity packs a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 Super IPS+ display and a 2-megapixel camera on its face, along with an 8-megapixel shooter around back. The Wi-Fi-only model of the Infinity packs a 1.6GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, but there'll also be a 4G-enabled model with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip inside. Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of free cloud storage for life, Android 4.0 and bodies that'll come in either Amethyst Grey or Champagne Gold. Sounds like folks in the market for a high-end Android tablet will soon have another option to consider. Any of you planning on opening your wallet for a Transformer Pad Infinity next month?
