HP originally introduced the TouchPad and Pre 3 way back at the beginning of February and said that both devices would be arriving sometime this summer. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten any more concrete information concerning the devices' launch dates, at least not officially. According to reports from a number of people that have spoken with various HP representatives, though, both products will debut next month. The reps apparently didn't divulge any more details about the launches, but HP Vice President of Developer Relations Richard Kerris has said that the TouchPad will be the first of the two devices to be released.
This isn't the first, or even the second, time that we've heard that the TouchPad will be coming sometime in June, and HP CEO Leo Apotheker has even said that his firm's webOS slate will hit that month, so it seems increasingly likely that the TouchPad is a lock to arrive next month. There hasn't been nearly as much info on the Pre 3's launch, but a June launch for the newest Pre handset isn't out of the realm of possibility. As usual, we'll keep you updated as we learn more. Are any of you looking forward to the TouchPad and Pre 3? Why or why not?
UPDATE: The Pre 3 was just spotted in the FCC for the second time in recent memory. Last month, a GSM-only model got approval, and today a CDMA/GSM global Pre 3 was also spotted in our favorite government agency. Early in April, we saw a photo of a Pre 3 running on Verizon's network, so this could very well be that same device.
