We've heard rumors that Nokia had an Android phone in the works, which were promptly shot down, but this is definitely a new one: according to Eldar Murtazin, the source of multiple Nokia leaks, the Finnish manufacturer is working with Microsoft to create "an entire line of Windows Phone devices." The devices are said to be distinctly Nokia and could arrive in Europe as soon as the second quarter of 2011. Nokia issued a statement responding to the rumor, explaining that they have nothing to announce and do not comment on rumors and speculation.
The thought of Nokia using anything other than Symbian or MeeGo on their products definitely seems crazy, but it may not be completely out of the realm of possibility. Nokia did appoint Stephen Elop, former president of Microsoft's business division. as their new CEO back in September. The company has shot down rumors of a Nokia-made Android phone a couple of times in the past, though, so it wouldn't surprise me if they ended up sticking with Symbian as their OS of choice. Then again, they didn't deny this rumor like they did with the Android ones in the past. Do you think that there are Nokia WP7 devices on the horizon?
