Today Sprint announced that they've flipped the WiMAX switch in Bridgeport, Conn. and Denver, Colo., bringing the total number of Sprint 4G markets up to 70. Included in the Denver expansion are several other cities along Colorado's front range, such as Boulder, Fort Collins, and Greeley. Check out the full press release down below.
Sprint customers in Denver have unofficially been able to use WiMAX for a couple of weeks now, but it's still good to see Sprint make everything official just like they said. Now that Verizon's LTE network is live and will be expanding every month, you have to wonder if Sprint is beginning to feel pressure from the other CDMA carrier in the U.S. Perhaps we'll see faster expansion from Sprint as a result?
Sprint Turns On 4G Service in Denver and Bridgeport, Conn.
