A little under two weeks ago we saw a render for the HTC Bee leak out, along with the device's ROM that contained references to Alltel. Many thought that, because Verizon purchased quite a bit of Alltel, the Bee was headed for Verizon. Now it's looking likely that Alltel will be getting the Bee after all, as well as the HTC Desire. As you can see in the image above, dummy units of both devices have arrived at at least one Alltel store. No word on when either the Bee or the Desire (which may be branded as the "Spitfire" on Alltel) will be launched or their pricing.
Alltel may not be the biggest carrier in the world, even among regionals, but they're definitely building up a decent Android lineup. The carrier launched the Motorola Milestone around a month ago, and now they've landed both the Bee and the Desire. Also, they'll be only the second U.S. carrier to offer the Desire (U.S. Cellular is the other). If you're an Android fan, Alltel is certainly giving you some compelling reasons to switch to their network. The question is, can you resist?
