Motorola originally announced the rugged, Android-powered DEFY early last month, saying that it would launch "in time for the holidays." Thankfully, T-Mobile got just a touch more specific today on their Twitter account (@TMobile), declaring that the DEFY will arrive on November 3rd for only $99.99 with a two year contract. If you need a refresher on the DEFY's specs, it's rocking a 3.7-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera with flash, MOTOBLUR, Adobe Flash Lite, and, of course, it's IP67 certified to withstand everything from scratches to water and dust.
The DEFY definitely looks like a great device, and for only $100 with a two year contract, I'd say it's a steal for T-Mobile customers looking for a new smartphone. After all, you're getting a full-touch device with a 3.7-inch display, military-grade ruggedness, and one of the hottest mobile OSes available in Android. Some users may not be thrilled with the fact that full-on MOTOBLUR is running on the DEFY, but we'll have to wait to see how everything handles on the device before making any judgments. So, are any of you out there planning on picking up the DEFY?
