About a week ago, we heard a rumor about a ton of upcoming Verizon devices, including the Palm Pre 2 and the BlackBerry Storm 3. Today we've got some photos of internal Verizon systems that seem to corroborate that rumor. As you can see above, the Pre Plus, Storm2, and Curve 8530 are marked "Phase Out." The Pre Plus has been marked as "Out of Stock" on Verizon's site for a little over a week now, so if you were hoping to snag one for the free Mobile Hotspot, hopefully you already have one ordered or can track one down at a local VZW store. Also being eliminated from Verizon's lineup are a couple of netbooks, a USB data stick, and the MiFi, which will presumably be replaced with the FiveSpot.
The rumor about the Pre 2, Storm 3, etc. that we heard about has all three of those devices landing some time in October, which seems likely since Verizon is working to phase out their predecessors. However, we haven't seen any leaks or anything like that of the Pre 2, so hopefully we will in the near future if it is actually launching in October. We have seen the Curve 9300 (the GSM version of the 9330), though, and it's been said that the Storm 3 is largely the same as the Storm 2 in terms of the hardware. So, readers, which upcoming device piques your interest the most?
