It's official: The OnePlus 7T series is coming later this month.
OnePlus today confirmed that the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro are coming soon, with separate events planned for the U.S., India, and the U.K. The U.S. launch event is happening on September 26 at 10:30 am ET, while the India reveal is scheduled for 7:00 pm IST on September 26 in New Delhi. The U.K. event is coming a bit later, at 4:00 pm BST on October 10.
Exactly what OnePlus will show at each event is a mystery, but the company does promise that it's planning "a special surprise that is unique for each region."
Meanwhile, OnePlus appears to be teasing that the OnePlus 7T will get the 90Hz display found on the OnePlus 7 Pro. The U.S. launch page for the event says "90 Hz Display. Smooth Like Never Before." and "OnePlus 7T Reveal".
That also suggests that the U.S. reveal could be focused on the OnePlus 7T and not the Pro model. The U.K. event page includes the same 90Hz teaser but says "OnePlus 7T Series", suggesting that both the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro are in the pipe. And the India event page says "OnePlus Launch Event", which hints that the OnePlus TV could also be shown there.
Rumors have said that the OnePlus 7T Pro won't be a huge upgrade over the non-T OnePlus 7 Pro, with the main upgrades being a Snapdragon 855 Plus and slightly larger battery. The OnePlus 7 never launched in the U.S., so it could make sense for OnePlus to just bring the 7T to the U.S., offering a newer, lower cost alternative to the OnePlus 7 Pro while also not frustrating customers who spent a lot of money on the OP7 Pro earlier this year.
