Now that we're just a couple of weeks away from the U.S. launch of the Xperia 1, Sony has launched a special deal to tempt consumers to pre-order its new flagship.
Anyone who buys the Sony Xperia 1 between June 28th and July 12th will receive a free pair of Sony's WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones. The Sony WH-1000XM3 is an over-ear pair of Bluetooth headphones that many consider to be the best pair of wireless noise-canceling headphones on the market.
You can pre-order the Sony Xperia 1 from Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Focus Camera, Beach Camera, and other retailers. It'll launch on July 12th.
As a refresher, the Sony Xperia 1 features a 6.5-inch 3840x1644 OLED HDR screen with a tall 21:9 aspect ratio. It's also packing a triple rear camera setup that includes a 12MP main camera with OIS and f/1.6 aperture, a 12MP wide angle camera with 135-degree field of view, and a 12MP lens with 2x optical zoom. There's also an 8MP camera on the front of the Xperia 1 for selfies.
Inside the new Sony flagship is a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3300mAh battery. There's a USB-C port for charging and IP68 water and dust resistance, too, and both the front and back of the Xperia 1 are clad in Gorilla Glass 6.
The Xperia 1 offers several of the features you want from an Android flagship in 2019, like multiple rear cameras, a Snapdragon 855, and a microSD card slot. Of course, that large, 4K HDR screen is attractive, too, and while the 21:9 aspect ratio is a little different than most other smartphones, it could be nice if you watch a lot of movies on the go or want to do a lot of multi-tasking with two apps running at once. And now Sony is making its new device more appealing by throwing in a top-notch pair of wireless noise-canceling headphones when you pre-order.
