After launching in Chicago and Minneapolis back in April, Verizon's 5G network is now expanding to two more cities.
Denver and Providence are the next two Verizon 5G cities. Service is live in Denver today, and the switch will be flipped in Providence on July 1st.
Here's where Verizon customers in Denver and Providence can expect to find 5G coverage:
Verizon has said that it'll launch 5G service in more than 30 cities in 2019. Other cities slated to get Verizon 5G this year include Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Washington D.C.
You'll need a compatible 5G smartphone to get onto Verizon's 5G network, and there are a few to choose from. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and LG V50 ThinQ 5G come with 5G support built-in, and the Moto Z3 and Moto Z4 can access 5G when you add the 5G Moto Mod.
