Verizon isn't the only carrier launching new 5G coverage today, because AT&T has announced that it's lighting up a new 5G city, too.
AT&T's 5G network is now live in parts of Las Vegas. There's no word on exactly where in Las Vegas AT&T 5G is available, though, so we only know that the coverage is live somewhere in the city.
The bad news is that AT&T's 5G network isn't really available to the general public yet. AT&T sells two 5G devices, the Netgear Nighthawk 5G Mobile Hotspot and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, but neither is available for anyone to purchase from AT&T. For example, the Galaxy S10 5G is only available to business customers.
Las Vegas is the 20th city where AT&T has launched its 5G network. The other cities include Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Louisville, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Raleigh, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Waco.
