Google Assistant is learning some new skills.
Google says that Assistant can now use a specific song, playlist, or radio station for an alarm. Just tell your Google Home or other Assistant-powered speaker "Hey Google, set an alarm for 6 AM that plays [whatever music you want]" and you'll be good to go.
In other music news, Google Assistant can now play whatever music you've purchased or uploaded to your music library. You just need to ask for whatever artist, song, or album you want to hear and then jam out.
Google Assistant is also getting better at helping you keep up with your favorite TV shows. You can ask things like "Hey Google, what channel airs The Flash?" or "Hey Google, when does The Flash air next?" to be sure you don't miss the next episode.
Finally, Google says that it's working with Netflix to make casting Netflix better. You can link your Netflix account in the Google Home app or using Google Assistant, and thanks to Voice Match, Google Assistant will match your voice to your profile when you ask to play something using Netflix. This way you don't interfere with someone else's progress on a show when you ask Assistant to play something on Netflix.
