We already know that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will launch at the five major U.S. carriers — AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon — on Sept. 16. Now we know when other U.S. operators will carry the new iPhones, too.
C Spire today announced that it’ll launch the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on Sept. 16. Both phones are now available for pre-order on C Spire’s website and through telesales at 1-855-CSPIRE4 (1-855-277-4734). C Spire will also offer the Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 1 smartwatches on Sept. 16.
If prepaid is more your style, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and MetroPCS will all begin selling the iPhone 7 on Sept. 23.
It’s good to see that the iPhone 7 will be hitting prepaid operators shortly after the major postpaid carriers. Apple does typically sell unlocked versions of new iPhone models shortly after launch, but sales at prepaid carriers make it easier for those customers to buy the new iPhone since they can just go through their operator, which they may be more accustomed to than buying from Apple.
