Today Verizon and Sprint announced their HTC 10 launch plans, but what about those folks that pre-ordered their unlocked HTC 10 after it was originally announced? Turns out that they’ll be getting their phones soon, too.
Jeff Gordon, HTC’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager, said today that the unlocked version of the HTC 10 will begin shipping in the US next week. That lines up with the info on HTC’s 10 pre-order page, which says that the device will begin shipping in “early May.”

Gordon also said that shipments of the unlocked HTC 10 should start going out in the UK in early May, too.
The unlocked HTC 10 comes without any pre-installed carrier apps, which should help to free up some internal storage, and it also includes Uh-Oh Protection. With Uh-Oh Protection, HTC will give you a free replacement HTC 10 if you crack your device’s screen within your first 12 months of ownership. The unlocked HTC 10 comes with a warranty that covers bootloader unlocking, too. Oh, and it also comes SIM unlocked so that you can use it on GSM carriers, including AT&T, who won’t be selling the HTC 10 directly.
If you haven’t yet pre-ordered an unlocked HTC 10, you can ogle the phone and it’s blue pre-order button right here.
