HTC One M8 and M9 owners on AT&T may have to wait a bit longer for their Android 6.0 update, but Samsung Galaxy S6 users don’t.
According to a Samsung support page, the AT&T version of the Galaxy S6 is now receiving its Android 6.0.1 update. Included is a bump to Marshmallow, which comes with goodies like Google Now on Tap, improved app permissions, and Doze mode battery optimizations. Once you’ve updated, you’ll find yourself on software version G920AUCU3CPC2.
AT&T hasn’t updated its Galaxy S6 page with information about this update, so it’s unclear how large it is or what other features might be included. Considering that it’s a bump to Marshmallow, though, the update is probably sizable, so you might want to find a speedy Wi-Fi connection before updating. If you’ve got an AT&T Galaxy S6 and haven’t yet updated to Android 6.0.1, you can check for the update by going into Settings > System tab > About device > Software update > Check for updates.
