If you’re in the U.S. and you’ve been longing for the dual-screened YotaPhone 2 to make its way stateside, today’s your day.
Yota Devices today launched an Indiegogo campaign for the U.S. launch of the YotaPhone 2, allowing consumers to reserve a phone of their own ahead of the full-on launch this summer. The Indiegogo campaign offers multiple ways to buy the YotaPhone 2, including a $500 limited tier that includes a YotaPhone 2, three-month BookMate subscription, and a bumper case. The MSRP for the YotaPhone 2 is $600, so you can save $100 if you're quick enough to get in on that tier. The phone will be available in black as well as its recently-announced white color option. Buyers can also picked up a Yota Wireless Power Bank for $50.
The Indiegogo campaign is scheduled to run for 60 days, and in all Yota Devices is seeking to raise $50,000 that it’ll use to pay for the certifications and fees that are necessary to get a device onto North American shelves. Yota Devices says that it plans to ship units to Indiegogo backers in "early August" ahead of the YotaPhone 2's full North American launch.
