Best Buy has a history of exclusively offering blue versions of popular smartphones in the U.S., including the HTC One (M7), Samsung Galaxy S5 and LG G3. Today the retailer is painting yet another phone blue and adding it to its shelves.
The blue Motorola DROID Turbo is now available on Best Buy’s website. Pricing is set at $199.99 with a two-year contract, 24 payments of $25 each with Verizon Edge or $699.99 full retail. That’s the same price that Best Buy is charging for other 32GB DROID Turbo models.
This new, blue DROID Turbo looks similar to the black version of the DROID Turbo, save for the back panel that covers its battery. This part is a dark blue hue that offers a nice color compromise between the black and red versions of the DROID Turbo.
It’s always nice to see additional colors of big smartphones made available, and thankfully the blue DROID Turbo’s launch has come fairly quickly after the main device’s arrival. That’s good news for folks that get frustrated when a phone gains a new hue months after its initial availability.
What do you think of this blue DROID Turbo? Does it look better than the black and red versions?
