A newly-leaked image from Verizon's internal systems suggests that Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners ought to prepare themselves for an upcoming software update. The image, sent to Android Central, shows that an update featuring the build number IMM76Q is being prepped for Big Red's version of the Galaxy Nexus. The update is said to still be Ice Cream Sandwich, but it does feature a new baseband version than what's currently found on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. According to one Android Central forums user, some Samsung and Verizon techs have said that the IMM76Q update will address the radio issues that some Galaxy Nexus users have been experiencing.

Obviously it's kind of a bummer that this new update won't be bringing with it a bump to Android 4.1, but Google has said that all Galaxy Nexus models are "up next for Jelly Bean", so we know that it's coming eventually. In the mean time, it's good to see Samsung and Verizon working to correct some issues that owners have run into since the recent IMM76K Android 4.0.4 update. There's no word yet on exactly when IMM76Q might begin rolling out to users. If it does indeed contain a fix for the GalNex's radio problems, though, I'm betting that the rollout start date can't come soon enough.
