We've seen Sony Ericsson's PlayStation Phone leak a couple of times in the past month, but the gaming-centric handset may not be the only Gingerbread handset that SE is cooking up right now. The device you see above is reportedly the Sony Ericsson Anzu, which will sport a 4.3-inch display, HDMI out, a "very, very slim" body, and the Gingerbread version of Android. There's no word on which carrier(s) the Anzu may end up calling home, but the source of the image says that SE is planning on a Q1 2011 launch.
There's not a lot to go on in the photo, especially since the device looks quite a bit like the XPERIA X10 and is only running Android 2.1. If the rumor turns out to be true, though, Sony Ericsson could have a hit on their hands. They just need to get the Anzu out on time and update it in a timely fashion. So, readers, which new SE phone would you prefer? The 4.3-inch Anzu or the gaming-centric PlayStation Phone?
UPDATE: The XPERIA X10 Blog has gotten a bit more info on the Anzu as well as a couple of new images. As you can see in the image below, that puppy is thin. On top of the already impressive specs, the Anzu is said to support 1080p video capture and have a front-facing camera. Also, Eldar Murtazin is reporting that the Anzu will actually be called the X12 when it hits market.
