Though $449.99 is a bit costly for an older BlackBerry, MetroPCS has launched the Curve 8330, and with a competitive rate plan, it's certainly worth a look. The company's $50 personal rate plan will offer unlimited text, messaging, and BlackBerry e-mail and internet functionality. For $10 more per month, enterprise users can take advantage of the deal. On top of it, the first month of service is free, and the activation fee is waived. I'll admit - if I was in a MetroPCS market, I would consider the package; though the phone is costly, the cheaper plan would be a benefit in the long run.
The smartphone will be available at Best Buy stores in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Detroit, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento this week, followed by a company-wide launch by the end of March.
