The good: great reception, few dropped calls, great unlimited plan
The bad: Small coverage area in Southeast only/not a national carrier
Summary: I have been with Suncom over 4 years, and I have been nothing but pleased with them. I love the plan, I have had very few problems. I guess I can't ever move out of the Carolinas, because I NEED my Suncom Unplan
The good: Intergrated Palm with Phone
Manual Switch for Speaker
The bad: Not Loud enough
Summary: The volume only reaches a normal volume.
Very hard or impossible to hear with surrounding noisy environments.
Somewhat improved with the use of a ear piece.
This is the first phone I have had that I couldn't turn it up to hear in a crowd.
Other than that problem, though, it is a great in every other way.
The good: BLUETOOTH-can't live without it now
MP3- the speakers are freaking awesome on this ultraslim phone
V-cast is pretty cool for those who are interested in such a thing
internal antenna makes the phone fit better in any pocket or purse
I just really like this phone, I got it for my NE2 and I had been coming from a decently reliable Samsung A670 so I expected this new phone to perform as well as my old one had. on my old phone there was video capability but you couldn't send, on the 8600
The bad: no flash on camera, lighting situations have to be just right, i'm a dork about it, but there are no frames or color effects for the pictures too which was a feature of my old phone
the only other problem i've had is with the bluetooth and i'm convinced that the disconnecting of the headset has to do with the cheap headset that i bought. if you are going to do the bluetooth, it's worth it to actually spend money for a good one.
Summary: All in all, I love this phone. I know that I'm probably going to use this phone for the next two years and i wanted something that would last and I'm sure that i've found it.
The good: radio, camera, audio recorder, e-mail access, durable
The bad: N/A
Summary: This phone is very nice. The radio is a great feature to have.
The good: The price is the cheapest around, rebates for phones, very military friendly
The bad: YOU HAVE TO FIGHT to get the service you deserve as a customer.
Summary: I was told that picture mail would allow me to send pictures, NOT TRUE I was charged $150 dollars for internet overages. I was told by customer disservice that the charges were legit. I then told the mean woman I didn't want the stupid phones anymore, I had to say that I wanted to be transfered to the retention department where by some miracle I was given $145 in service credits.... hmmmmmm You have to gripe back to beat the crazy system of sprint... BTW if you have an old plan DON'T CHANGE the plans are getting worse, not better
The good: Battery standby is a week. Gets pretty good reception.
The bad: Not too many features, but it was free with my plan.
Summary: It's a basic phone that calls people, and does a few other things like text message. No games, just functionality.
The good: Courteous customer service reps... helpful tech support.
The bad: weak signal around my house
Summary: I have been a customer of Cingular for 5 years or so. I must say I am satisfied with Cingular. They have good coverage in most places around here except right around the place I live. I cant use my phone from my house.
thanks
The good: Great sound, slim, and easy to use.
The bad: Bluetooth signal drops off often. Needs revision.
Summary: I love the phone. It's great and has a lot of features that I use on a daily basis. I can't wait to get the next version with the MP3 player.
The good: Feature rich(built in MP3 player video and picture capture and editing) also the included PC connect cable is awesome you can put games on it and ringtones for free and killer themes, amazing battery life the radio on it is a nifty feature not many phones have anymore with RDS is even cooler so it tells you (if the station supports it) what song your listening to
The bad: sometimes too light to realize you have it in your pockets, reception is poor in basements, no external voice command button, headset cable is a bit too long
Summary: Overall if your looking for a cool hot looking phone that does about everything (MP3,video,internet,games,organizer,Radio) and not pay alot of money and stand out in the crowd of Motorola's and Nokias try this one out you may not like the keypad at first but it wont take long at all about 3 days for me to get used to it like the back of your hand
The good: I always have good reception inside buildings, elevators, and along most of the major roads and highways. Some I know who have Sprint have to leave my office and go up a flight of stairs to make calls.
The bad: They don't offer many cheap/free phones. You almost have to spend over $70 for the better basic phones. Also, for regular plans, roaming charges may apply.
Summary: I recently tried T-Mobile and I had what was hailed as their best non-Smart phone out at the time. I had horrible reception and I live in a well-covered part of town. I returned the phone in about 10 days. I have been using a Cingular phone for my business and even when my bars are all full, there is what I would describe as "warbling" of the voice on the other end. Not to mention dropped calls along one of the most traveled highways in town. These two companies have easier access to ringtones and wallpapers - with fast download, but my main purpose for a phone is making clear calls and I believe that right now US Cellular is the way to go.

I'd rather pay $100 for a new US Cellular phone than to get a free phone from any GSM netork. I have heard that more GSM towers are going up around here and that there is better reception in different regions for whatever reason. But I have had my current service for almost 4 years and have tried other services without satisfaction.
The good: This phone is durable and easily read. The lights on the phone are bright and the blue keypad backlight is great at night, bright and easy to see. I share my phone with a pre-teen who has been VERY rough on it, and it's stood up extremely well. I like the interchangable faceplates and how the phone fits in my hand.
The bad: Purchasing extras ((batteries, charger, ear piece)) for the phone was expensive and hard to find. I do not like the camera or the options on the phone. Pics always had problems and hard to see. The screensavers and display pics leave a lot to be desired.
Summary: In all I have kept and used this phone almost 2 years. I would love to have a new one, with my cons turned into pros, I would be happy. Good phone with a need for some improvments.
The good: Reception
Loudspeaker
Media Card Capabilities
Not a flip phone (won't snap as easily)
bluetooth
The bad: Small screen
screen cover (not physical screen) prone to stress cracking
no zoom on camera
Summary: I have used this phone non-stop since I purchased it. I think that I've restarted it three or four times in the whole year and a half that I have owned . Rock solid, gets reception where other phones can't, bluetooth, camera, what else can you ask for.
The good: No missed calls.
The bad: Don't seem to experience any at this time
Summary: T-Mobile offers good service and affordable plans. The plus point is that the cell phone can be unlocked and taken across the world who offer GSM service, so the cell phone does not go to waste.
The good: Easy to use, plenty of storage, easy text/multimedia messages
The bad: battery life and phone kinda cheap
Summary: I like the phone, i have dropped it alot and still keeps on ticking. I have not even come close to filling my phone book and it holds alot of mp3 ringtones and pics. The camera is is easy to use although not quite a great quality pic and gotta remeber to save it before closingth camera or the pic gone.My only real complaint is that my battery barealy lasts a day.
The good: No credit card check. No annual contract. Good coverage area. Rollover minutes/text messaging
The bad: 15 cents/min. no free nights/weekends
Summary: Overall, good service. Good customer service as well. Nice thing if you do not want to stay in the same area for a year.
The good: Walkie talkie nationwide service
The bad: Kind of expensive, some spotty areas of coverage.
Summary: I work in construction so the walkie talkie is pretty much the best part of the service, use it several times daily and it makes communication very easy. There are some blind spots in coverage near my house, specificaly when you neter fairmount park, which is not toally horrible. The cost of service for normal use (non use of walkie talkie service) is pretty expesive, the service plan i have costs about 75$ a month for 1000 minutes.
The good: not restricted to set daytime minutes. if you go over minutes its at a resonable rate. After your service agreement is up you can trade your phone in and get $150 off new one.
The bad: Don't really have any cons that i can think of.
Summary: I have had Sprint for several years and would recommend to anyone. Sprint's Fair and flexible plan is great. You don't have to worry about going over in minutes because you know it will be at a good rate for your overage. Everytime I needed to change anything or needed help with anything Sprint's personell were always friendly and very knowledgeable. 2 Thumbs up.
The good: Good service in Brooklyn
The bad: Dropped calls while driving
Summary: I have generally been pleased with cingular's service while I'm in my home in Brooklyn. However, I've had issues with dropped calls when I'm driving between my office, in Manhattan, and my home.
The good: Unlimited calls, same bills every month.
The bad: Difficult to get good reception in my house in Ibis
Summary: I have had Metro PCS for several years. Through out our terrible hurricane seasons of 2005 and 2004 my phone never failed me. I recommend this phone to everyone. At the end of the month there are no surprises. The bill is always the same. Unfortunately since I moved to West Palm Beach my phone does not have much reception in my home. It is true I am all the way west in the boonies but I do wish it would work as well as it did when I lived in Jupiter.
The good: regular phone
The bad: could be smaller, would like to lock outside buttons, when you put phone into pocket they keep pressing and beeping.
Summary: nice phone, but i would consider another next time.
